A $13.3 billion valuation does not take payments or log your chef in. Here is what the Series C actually means for a local business.
On 12 August 2026, Lovable announced a $400 million Series C at a $13.3 billion valuation. The round was led by Menlo Ventures and co-led by EQT’s Scaleup Europe Fund. Lovable is based in Stockholm. (Lovable, TechCrunch)
That is a lot of money. It is not why we use the tool.
What it actually means here
We build on Lovable because a restaurant, a villa, or a transfer firm can get a live app, not a mockup. Funding does not take payments for you. It does not log your chef in.
What it does say: the platform we ship on is not a weekend experiment. It is a European company, still shipping, still putting money into the product.
Stockholm, 1 September
We are going to their office in Stockholm on 1 September. The question we will ask is the same one a client should ask: can this run a real business on Monday.
We will not pretend a funding round is a feature. If your site still has no login, no payments, and no domain, the valuation does not help.
If you want to see what we already ship on it, look at Javea Express, Estrella, Bodega Trenza, or Máximo Play Space.
