Local restaurants in Jávea were taking orders by phone. We built the ordering app kitchens actually run.
Javea Express is not a restaurant website. It is the ordering system local kitchens in Jávea actually use.
Phone orders do not scale
Local restaurants were taking orders by phone. There was no shared platform. Customers could not browse a menu, follow an order, or pay from their phone. The big delivery apps already existed, but the commission on those platforms is built for chains, not a small kitchen on the Costa Blanca.
What we built
Javea Express is a local food delivery platform. It has three sides, because delivery only works when all three move together.
- A customer app: restaurant listings, categorised menus, live order status, push notifications and saved favourites
- A restaurant dashboard: menus, incoming orders and sales reporting
- A driver app: live order assignment and GPS tracking
The public site sits at javeaexpress.com. The site case study is the same product, seen from the web.
An application, not a brochure
A restaurant website tells people you exist. An ordering app lets them complete the action. That is the line we draw in website or web application. Javea Express sits on the application side: live status, a kitchen that can work the ticket, and a driver who can pick it up without a phone call.
The app side of the work took six months. It launched in 2024.
If your business still runs on phone orders and a PDF menu, tell us the problem.
